ABS Repair by Mosertronik Austria
In order for us to carry out the ABS repair, the control unit must first be removed and sent to us. We first disassemble and clean the control unit. Then we check the electrical components for defects or, in the case of hybrid control units, for defective bondings. After checking for defects, we prepare a cost estimate.
As soon as this is released, we replace the defective parts and seal the control unit. Then, if possible, we carry out a final functional test of the replaced components. If everything fits, we send the control unit back. You have to reinstall it in the vehicle and check whether all functions work properly.
Procedure via our online shop system
For a faster process, you can use our Online shop use. To do this, search for your ABS repair in our shop, select the type of handling, place the control unit in the shopping cart, make a normal check-out and send the well-packaged ABS with the printed PDF to us. If you have chosen immediate repair, the ABS will be repaired and returned without a cost estimate. If there is a price discrepancy, we will of course inform you in advance.
Known faults of ABS control units
Failures are becoming more frequent with some ABS control units. A good example is the ATE MK61, for which we even have a separate news article. VW ATE MK61 Repair Service created. With the other ABS control unit repairs, a common fault is related to the pump motor. Some control units also have problems with communication or with the wheel speed sensors.
Before you have an ABS control unit repair carried out by us, the fault in the vehicle must be diagnosed. Often the fault does not come from the control unit itself, but from the connected components, such as the wheel speed sensors.
